Update and summary :
I cleaned dust out of PC, since then I have been getting black screens on both of my monitors at the same time.
These black screens are usually but not always followed by a automatic reboot.
Some times it's as if only the screen is black as music on youtube video keeps playing afterwards and by randomly clicking around I can pause the music or start it again
I have checked CPU and graphic cards temperatures with MSI Afterburner and RealTemp and the temps seem normal.
In the past, my graphic card was starting to overheat while overclocking at previously ok settings causing the rare, occasional crash but nothing like this.
**** I have found a way to reproduce the issue **** (this is not exclusive, the issue may happen without taking these steps)
-> clicking "play" on youtube video
-> opening a video stored on harddrive
-> launching any game
this will systematically cause both of my screens to go black but the PC will continue running. (sometimes the PC will reboot a minute or more later).
----------> HOW DOES OPENING A VIDEO ON THE INTERNET OR ON MY HARD DRIVE IMMEDIATELY CAUSE BOTH OF MY SCREENS TO GO BLACK? Often followed by a reboot.
fyi : I can spent one hour or more on PC and everything is working fine as long as I don't open or play a video or launch a game

Hi,
first off, ran DXDiag. Results in spoiler :
Second, (to avoid redundant questions and answers), I have been monitoring the temperature of my graphics card but also of my CPU using MSI Afterburner and RealTemp 3.70.
At no point did I notice the temperatures going any higher than normal, or even, than before.
Third, what happened and what the problem is :
Before, I had OC my graphics card by 75 MHz and memory clock by 200, increasing the power limit to 113%. I used OC genie to "one click OC" my CPU simply by clicking on "OC" in the BIOS (instead of the two other choices which are "normal" and "eco".
This setup up was stable for many months of "hardcore gaming".
However recently, I noticed that my graphics card was heating up a little and I was getting the occasional crash. (probably from over heating).
So I opened up the PC and used duster (pressurised air container) to clear the dust (there was quite a lot).
The first time I started up the PC after having done this, I got into windows and before the computer had finished loading everythng, both of my screens went black.
I waited maybe 30 seconds or a bit more and noticed that my PC was rebooting.
Next this happened just as I had opened up youtube and put on some music. Both screens simultaneously went black, the music kept on playing, and then the PC rebooted.
My reaction was to go into the BIOS and cancel the CPU OC and set it to "normal". Later on, it happened again while browsing facebook only this time, instead of rebooting, the screens came on again and I continued to browse the internet.
Then it happened again, black screens followed by reboot.
So I googled and spent a lot of time reading forums (including this one) and the most common issue seemed to be the drivers or the temperature. So every time now I have on my second screen the CPU temperature (thanks to RealTemp) and graphics card too (MSI Afterburner).
Both are steady and normal : 4 cores with temps raging from 30 to 40 C and graphics card stable at 23 degrees.
But I still get these black screens followed by reboot...
One other thing I noticed is my desktop has changed :
--> icons on desktop have been reshuffled
--> on my left screen, the task bar has changed position
After reading forums I double checked that my drivers were up to date.
Please tell me my graphic's card isn't failing, I am planning on upgrading my PC but I don't have the money just yet ! :/
Edit -> just so you know, I have had 6 personnal computers in my life and have opened each of them up to clean the dust sometimes more than once. I'm not a pro, but I was careful not to unplug anything or damage components with the duster.
Edit 2 -> Sorry, forgot to mention, I am aware, through reading similar threads, that it could be a power issue. I didn't look into that because I would think if that were the issue then it would also have happened before I cleaned my pc.
(unless, is it possible that I may have damaged the power supply by cleaning the PC? I highly doubt it but then again, I don't know for sure)
