Dear members,

I am in dire need of your help,
lately my computer has been messing around; when i play games or browse the internet, or hell even use the pc at all. It will freeze up, give me a no input signal for a few seconds and throw me back into the computer. It does it many times what can the problem be?

My specs:
Core 2 Duo E4700 @ 2.75ghz
3Gb DDR2 Ram (1x2 & 1x1)
Sapphire Hd 3870 GDDR4 unforunately the fan doesn't work on the graphics card, so i use a table fan or a room cooler fan next to my pc to cool down the gpu, at many times it hits 114-116'C.
I sadly cannot afford any new computer.

I appreciate all help

Make sure that the HDMI cable connecting the PC with the Monitor is fully plugged in and not being overstretched. If it appears to be broken, just get a new HDMI, they are really cheap (like $3)

If the fan isnt working on your GPU, that is what is causing it to freeze. Putting a box fan next to it isnt going to do a thing. Replace it, buy an aftermarket cooler for it, although its so old not sure you could find one anymore, or deal with the freezes, sorry nothing else you can do.

I almost guarantee this is your problem. That is approaching the highest point that card was ever designed to handle. Fix that problem and I bet it behaves correctly if nothing has been thermally damaged so far.
