All,
Getting a new build with the following:
- Skylake Intel i7 6700k
- z170 motherboard
- 250 gb ssd for OS
- 5 tb hdd (movies/pictures/music/games, etc.)
- 1070 gtx graphics card
- aftermarket air cooling cpu fan (not stock)
- 16 gb ram
- Full Tower Case
*** motherboard and graphics card are Gigabyte, ram is g.skills, tower is Coolermaster, ssd is Samsung, hdd is western digital
I want to get a windows 10 pro build on this new system. But am still considering the windows 7 pro build. The only reason I am still considering windows 7 is I had a previous windows 10 build on another system (a few months ago) and had lots of issues with it (I know, I know could be a myriad of things other then OS). However, my experience on my old windows 7 system that I have had for years has been stellar and very stable.
However, by not going to a windows 10 build I think I am just delaying the inevitable and with more newer and higher end components (i.e. direct x12 only works on windows 10) I should naturally gravitate to windows 10 vs. windows 7? Overall have users had good experiences with windows 10 being efficient and stable? Any advice out there for me? Thanks.
Scott
