HP Psu upgrade problem.

Hey guys,

I have an prebuilt hp pc (hp compaq elite convertible minitower) and i want to upgrade my power supply because 320w isn't enough for my 1060 6gb. The problem is that hp uses special connectors to the motherboard, so i dont know upgrade my psu.

Can someone help me out?

You can't upgrade because the motherboard , PSU are both proprietary.

So the only way to upgrade my psu is buying a new mobo+psu?

Need the model number of the computer first. But I will not lie to you, the chance of an upgrade path are slim. HP is notorious for customized builds that lead to nowhere.

This site seems to supply upgraded power supplies that are compatible with HP.

I have an HP Compaq elite convertible minitower 8100.
I tried to look for gpu dedicated psu's but they where
as you sayed discontinued.

You are most welcome.

Be advised, I just found that in a Google search, I have no idea of the quality of the PSU or its availability or compatibility. Also be careful about sinking too much money in an upgrade on an older build, it might not be worth it.
