Hello, I want to know if my power supply is compatible with my motherboard and what makes a power supply compatible. I have an r7 250, but I cant put it in my PC yet because I'm not sure if my power supply is going to work(no name 300 watt). I was wondering if this Corsair cx500 power supply is compatible with my h61m ds2h motherboard.

Also could you please tell me what the Four peripheral cables (4-pin) is for. Sorry for asking to may questions and my motherboard has a 1x 4 pin atx12v connector and this is 8pin. Thanks.
