Hello all,

I don't know when it started, but I'd say a few months ago. Sometimes, when I start my computer, that's been off for a few days, the fans and all will start, but nothing else. No display, no Windows, no... no nothing. I have to turn off the PSU and then back on, and then the computer starts normally and I can use it for days without a problem. The last thing I have changed is my video card, I bought a NVidia 1060 but I'm really not sure the problem started then or before.
I thought it might be the battery of my motherboard, so I changed it, but the problem remains. It doesn't happen every time I turn on the computer but often enough.
I think it might be my 2 or 3 yrs old 650W PSU, a good brand though, a true copy of a SeaSonic 650W PSU.
So I have decided to get a new one because there is a good deal right now:
Seasonic G-650 PSU PC ATX 650 W Modular 80Plus Gold Black for €90 instead of €125 usually.

I wanted to know if you agreed with me that this PSU would be more than enough for my config:

_ AMD 8370@stock
_ GigaByte Gaming FX990
_ KFA2 GTX 1060
_ 4 x 8GB DDR3
_ 2 Sata 7200rpm
_ 1 SSD
_ 1 DVD burner
_ 1 BD DVD burner

nothing else I guess, I use the onboard soundcard and onboard ethernet. I prefered to give you my detailed config, in case...
I went to some website to calculate how big a PSU I'd need, they all say that I use less than 500W (one site advises a 750W PSU when the result is close to 490W, I don't get it but oh well...)

So I think the SeaSonic 650W should be quite good.
What do you think?
Ah, I don't expect to add anything new to my rig. If I have to change something, it will be everything, I will go for a RyZen and change the whole thing of course. But I still think that 650W will be more than enough anyway.

Thanx for your thoughts and responses :)

Cheers

Thank you both for your answer :)
As I said, the SeaSonic is a good deal right now, only €89 on Amazon, instead of €130, so I jumped on that deal right away and ordered it. I wanted to be sure that it would be enough for my actual rig, and hopefully for my future RyZen one :)
