I had a family computer a decade ago and since nobody uses it so I took it apart and found out it has a 750GB SATA and I want to use it for storage. I disassembled it and removed my current hard drive so I could load it up by itself so that I could wipe the drive and have all 750GB for space but it didn't work. I reinstalled my primary hard drive with windows 10 and I don't see any other hard drive in Windows Computer management>Storage>Disk Management. I saw a video telling me to go into my BIOS and look for "Hard disk drive BBS properties" and arrange the boot sequence but my BIOS is confusing and I couldn't find anything even remotely named that. My motherboard is a Z97X-Gaming 5. Any help would be appreciated.

It's entirely possible the HDD is a defective disk, especially since you indicated it's about 10 years old or so.
Is it listed at all in Device Manager?
Any chance of connecting it to your system as a USB external HDD, or better yet, connected internally or externally to another PC?
See if you can test it with a HDD diagnostic program, e.g., Hard Disk Sentinel.
