i have found this pc online that has not had that much attention, for this reason it is only selling for £160 at the moment the specs in my eyes do not look very good, all i want to know is how will it hold up with gaming on current titles such as GTA V etc... and how upgradeable will this pc be? i am only interested as it is so cheap and will be for use when friends come round,
The specs are:
Processor: Intel Quad Core 2.40Ghz Q6600
Memory: 8Gb DDR3 RAM (2 x 4Gb)
Case: BRAND NEW CiT F3 Case (black and Red)
Graphics: NEW Gigabyte Geforce GT710 2Gb
Sound: Integrated
Hard Disk Drive: x1 Samsung 250Gb SSD, x1 500Gb Sata
Power Supply: Brand New 500W
Motherboard: Asus P5 G4IT-MLX
O/S: Win 7
thanks in advance
Jake

Solution
Ok, well the processor and motherboard are socket 775, very old. There has been 3 or 4 sockets since then. The video card is NOT a gaming card, it might work on very low end games, but not much else. Probably the best part of it is the Samsung SSD. I personally would not purchase this computer, save your 160 and if you really want a backup computer, build one with leftover parts (assuming you have some) and used newer generation parts. If buying used, I would go for AT LEAST something on the socket 1155 platform, if not socket 1150 for CPU and motherboard. For video card, I've heard that the GTX 750ti is fairly capable, but I would try to get a GTX 950 or higher if possible.

It won't run GTA V. The processor doesn't meet the minimum system requirements, by a lot, and neither does the GPU. And there's no point putting any more money into that system, it won't get much faster. If you just wanted something that could browse and check email it might not be a bad price. But as far as games go, no.
