I was going to sell off a old hard drive and since I have some personal stuff on the drive (things like credit card info and bank related things I don't want someone getting their hands on) I wanted to run one of those programs that overwrite the drive with 'blank data' to make any data impossible to recover
But I was wondering if the drive is still usable after running one of those programs that go over the drive several times with blank information? As in can a new operating system be installed on it and will it still function like normal?
