Hi I'm building my first gaming computer

I was wondering if it was a good idea to throw good money at a goodnotherboard above all else to start,? And since I'm going to use Intel processors starting with an i5 k model or maby a non overclock i5 ...will a mob made for overclocking be able to house all Intel processors safely even thrones that can overclock?

Since I'm on a budget build I want to start with a good base so I can upgrade the processor later to a better one or is a cheaper mob good and can one mother board hold all Intel CPU

Ok guys I got an Asus z170 pro gaming aura mother board and and a powercolor rx 480 8gb red devil graphics card..I'm sooo lost I'm seeing videos that say I need to upgrade the bios on that motherboard...and then windows 10 seems hard enough to install

I figured I fire up the pc and install windows 10 disc and it installs...do I actually have to tell the motherboard in the bios to use or activate my graphics card even?? Do I have to install a driver to make everything work?

I'm going to run an Ethernet cable across the house to send power to my new pc when first fired up since my mother board has no built in wireless card..will the pc recognize the Ethernet or do I actually need another computer to get my new build running

Sorry I'm getting overloaded

I think by now u've already figured it out but...
The gpu should automatically work when u physically install it and boot up. I say this from experience on all of my gpus initial installation.
The resolution is gonna be super low, something like 800*600.
as for the motherboard.. it should work without a bios update. (it was sold as is on launch so it has to). that being said, there could be exceptions where the components are so new its not recognized or optimized without the bios update.

I've built several custom pc's of my own and have re-re many times. used/new parts. just assemble everything as a whole and it should boot. if any problem either trial and error by taking one component out at a time or start with mobo, cpu/cooler, ram, psu and boot up.

Ok and I have and had tv I'm using as the monitor and I have no monitor will the pc display from first boot through had cable to my tv? Or should I buy a vga cable? I also installed a bios update on a USB stick from another computer do I have to rename the update file? It's an Asus z170 pro gaming aura motherboard

I was told that the bios update will only work with a vga cable attached to the motherboard to monitor??
