does quadro 5000 gpu supports triple monitors setup?

i want to setup 3ple monitors to do graphics and 3d working, and i want to buy hp workstation with quadro 5000 graphic card, does it supports 3 display at the same time with 1 dvi and 2 displayports.
should i use active adapters or not?

Yes it will support 4 displays simultaneously. You didn't say whether it was an M5000 or a P5000, but this sheet covers both -- http://images.nvidia.com/content/quadro/product-literature/line-card/206187-ProGraphicsLineCard-GENERIC-OCT16-US-FNL-HR.pdf

The type of adapter will depend on the type of connection you are going to use to your monitors. Displayport would be optimum in all cases.
