Hello I am looking for a build that is decently cheap for someone I know who only plays pogo games and goes on youtube. I Have from the old pc the harddrive, case, cd drive, and windows, the ram, mobo and processor is really old so mainly I would need those.

I think its oem mobo based on what the motherboard says when I looked it up. I may have another case around here, but lets add a case into the price for now. and possbily a power supply.

here are the current specs if anything else can be salavged from it

From what i understood you want to replace the motherboard and CPU so my suggestions are based on that.

For those purposes i believe getting a cheap motherboard, for example the MSI H110M Pro-D (took it from this site's recommended ones) and a i3-6100 for CPU should suffice and give a very pleasant experience. I'd also recommend 8gb of whatever cheap 2133 DDR4 ram you can find.

Also definitely would recommend getting an SSD as this would greatly improve the experience.

For psu get anything with 350W or so with at least 80+ certification so it won't blow up or something.

Case is pretty much whatever you want.

Of course this is all dependent on the amount of money he/she is willing to spend.

An i3-6100 alone is $130 not including tax, what you're suggesting would run $500 - $600 easily. OP - for your budget, there's no PC you can buy that will satisfy those requirements. So when you add up i3-6100 ($130) plus the cost of an H110 motherboard ($65) plus the cost of 8GB of DDR4 RAM ($60) and then you factor in the cost of a case ($50) and PSU ($65) that alone will add up to over $450, more than twice the budget of $200. And then you still have to add HD because you can't use the old interface so that's another $50, and then you also have to add a legitimate OS license for another $100. What you should probably look at is something like an Intel compute stick, or maybe something like an NIC or a refurbished laptop. But for $200 there's no way you can get an adequate desktop.

There are cheaper options, and i don't think what i suggested would cost 500$, the CPU would be the most costly part by far.. but yeah probably would go beyond the 200$ mark and reach the 300$ possibly

You can cut down on the CPU to a cheaper AMD one though as someone else already suggested and skip the SSD altogether, though a 120gb/64 SSD is not much more expensive than hard drives and you won't need much more with that + the old one.

the pentium could be replaced witha Celeron 1840 and dro it to 189.

either cpu would be adequate for web browsing, youtube and facebook games

I wasn't counting on windows 10 or a dedicated gpu being thrown in and i did mention using cheaper cpu to achieve the price, but you're right for a mid range system.

And as someone else has already pointed out, getting used parts/pc is a good way to go around it.

This is about what I was thinking. And since he already has an HDD that would put them well under the $200 mark :)
