Computer has become sluggish after upgrading the CPU from an AMD FX-6100 to an AMD FX-8350. All drivers are up to date with the graphics card, sound, and I have installed every update that has been given to me by Windows Update that is recommended.

Before upgrading I could watch Twitch streams or Youtube videos while playing WoW perfectly fine. Would it be something with my processor since my bios are not up to date with the current processor put in?

CPU AMD FX-8350
GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX980
MOTHERBOARD - GA-990FX-UD3
BIOS VERSION - F8

Solution
Speccy doesn't provide in-game analysis of the some of the things I've mentioned. And if tabbing out it can be a wrong reading if it did.

The idea is to analyse what is going on with the CPU, GPU and fps while you are playing a game. Something like MSI Afterburner. Fraps I believe does it too. As does CAM.
That rules out the obvious possibility then. The other is simply your connection dropped which coincides with the CPU upgrade.

Do you use any software to monitor fps, CPU and GPU usage? I was thinking these may be able to point at potential issues when you try to do these things at the same time.
