I am building a lower mid-range gaming pc, being on the robotics team at my high school, I decided to model and 3D print the case for the pc myself, does anyone know if it is still necessary to include mobo standoffs, or to just skip them since the board will be on plastic. (Using a mini-itx board)

Solution

Actually, yes.

If you don't use them, any bits that protrude from the bottom of the board will contact the plastic plate first, and cause the edges of the board to flex as you tighten down the screws.
The standoffs will provide a stable mounting plane, with no interference or flexing.
