Ran into some problems when getting new AMD card.

So, I recently switched my old Nvidia card out for a fresh RX 470 by AMD, but am getting a good amount of problems in return. So before I get into my first problem I want to say that my monitor is old and only has a VGA slot, so I had to get a DVI-I Female to VGA Male Adapter, and I got a DVI-I Adapter because I couldn't find a DVI-D to VGA Adapter, and I thought because the DVI-D cable fits into the DVI-I Female slot it would work out, and I even did research and found out that it does indeed work. And how I have the adapter set up is I have my VGA side of the adapter plugged into my monitor, with the DVI-I side coming out, which has a DVI-D to DVI-D cable plugged into it, and one side of the cable is in my RX 470, anyways..

My first problem is whenever I plug in my DVI-D cable into the RX 470 my monitor comes up with the message, "No signal", and quickly goes into power-saving mode. The only way I can get a display is when I plug my VGA cable into the VGA slot on the motherboard, which is how I am typing this right now. However when I do plug the cable into the VGA Slot on my motherboard when I look at my Display Adapters in the Device Manager all that is there is, "Standard VGA Adapter".. I don't even know if this is normal. I already have uninstalled all Nvidia drivers from my old card and all by the way. In all, I really am dissapointed right now as I spent a good amount of money on this card and am not getting what I expected out of it. So ANY help is appreciated, I just want to get this problem solved. :( (And yes, I am decently new to this stuff, so if I made a dumb mistake I'm sorry, lol.)

Solution
Afraid you are going to need a newer monitor since that card has no analog capability.

The image below shows the four analog pin outs around the horizontal spade connector. DVI-D is digital only.
