So recently for Christmas, I bought the hyperx cloud stinger once I used them I played a competitive game on cs:go and recorded it my friend told me that the mic wasn't working so I unplugged it and plugged it back in and the same thing happened I went to recording devices and when I talked into the mic the computer said that nothing had been heard please help.

Same case, same headset, I was using other headset, not 35mm jack, that other ones was USB, checking Recording devices, Microphone Array was disabled, just check Enabled and all works fine, ready to enjoy this headset.
