So, a few months back I built my first PC from scratch after seeing a fair bit of PC building vids, the rig has been absolutely wonderful and beyond my expectation, as overkill as it may be with its 32 gigs of ram though, unfortunately with the new build I installed a new seagate 2 TB HDD in addition to my old 1 TB ( toshiba I believe, don't know for sure),I set it up with my other HDD in the drive cage that came with my case, plugged it in with the SATA cord the other needs too, both are plugged in with SATA cords and both are plugged into my motherboards SATA cord input, boot up the computer like normal, but it does not show up with the other one, as far as I can tell I don't think it shows up in BIOS either but through all my tinkering and researching, I cant find anything on how to get it to work alongside my new one, I remember seeing something about slave and master drives, and I believe that's what I need to setup unfortunately I don't know how. So what would I need? My friend says i just need little connector clips for the back of each drive and put in the appropriate position, but where would I find these clips? Or how would I set up both drives to work alongside each other?

you need to format it if its not showing up. Go to windows tap and type disk management (it should say create and format hard disk partitions) right click the drive you want to format (it should say unallocated) and click "New Simple Volume" click next , next and assign a letter to the drive. Click next and now type a new volume label (Name it what you want) and click next then click finish.

You seem not sure about BIOS, but it's important to confirm if it is showing there or not. What drives do you have showing in BIOS? If you confirm that the drive is not showing in BIOS, first clear CMOS to see if it shows up. If not, change out SATA cable/power cable, and use a different SATA port.

There is no master/slave architecture with SATA drives. That is an old IDE architecture.
