Hello all I need some help, Ive got a MSI Z170a Gaming M7 motherboard I purchased mainly for overclocking and also i liked the heavy duty PCI_E slots...I installed 2 RX 480 4gb MSI Gaming X Graphics Cards and its showing that the speed for both is only x8 when i thought that the top slot would be x16....Since both cards are only running at x8 does that mean that my crossfire config will only run as if I only had 1 card installed in the top pci e?

Also another ? Ive got the GTX 1060 Version of MSIs Gaming Cards and it never got that hot but these RX 480s to me are on fire....Using MSIs Afterburner Kombuster the cards reached 76 degrees celsius before the fans turned on and this was only like 3 minutes of stressing...Is that normal for these cards and what it the max temp? In Afterburner the option to control the fan speed is not available

My Build is
InWin GT1 ATX Case
Intel i7-6700k overclocked 4.7ghz
MSI Z170a Gaming M7 mobo
Deepcool 120mm watercooler
16gb 4x4 G.skill ripjaws v series 2800
2 MSI RX 480 4gb Gaming X Crossfire
750 gb Crucial MX300 SSD
1TB firecuda SSHD
Seasonic SS-760XP 760W 80+ Platinum
ASUS DVD RW
7x120mm case fans

This is only my 2nd Build.....Does it seem like a good one or do yall see something i should improve on?

ill check the temps on the card hang on

90-92 is the max temp. if it were to get too hot it would just reset your PC not break so have faith,.,. if it gets really loud then your PC reboot and windows tells you its too hot. then you have a problem...

Ok awesome and thanks for the fast reply
I was really worried about the speed and temp of these cards...MSI should be more informative with their products as to normal and max values but anyways thanks again for the fast response
