Is an upgrade from an i5 3570k to an i7 7700k a good upgrade in terms of gaming?

The i5 is a great cpu no doubt, but I was wondering how much more horsepower I could get if I upgraded.

In games that support more than 4 threads it's an upgrade no doubt
In games that don't it's only a little upgrade.

Personally I'd wait until we see the first Ryzen benchmarks, at the very least it might drop the price a little bit.
