Which one is better for gaming, I5 7600k overclocked or i7 7700 non overclocked ?

I'll buy a new computer next month, and I don't know if it would be better to buy an i5 7600k + corsair h110i(it's the best water cooler available where i'm buying) and oveclock it, or buy an i7 7700 and don't overclock it, can someone help me out with this?

Yeah okay that's a big difference. Where I am at the difference between the 7700 & the 7700k is like 15 bucks and usually affordable by going for a cheaper case or mainboard.

In most games the 7600k will be faster
If you're doing a lot of multitasking or have a lot of programs running in the background (f.e. a browser with 8 tabs) the i7 might be better

With Dx12 most games can use more than 4 threads. I reckon the i7 will perform better there (maybe not concerning max FPS but avg FPS).
However there aren't so many Dx12 games yet and Dx11 will stick around a while longer so will games optimized for i5s so it's quite a close choice.

I guess spending 50bucks extra for a 7700k and a decent budget cooler breaks the bank?

In the country I live, the difference between those 2 is over half a salary, so it kinda breaks the bank for me
