Solution
i did it and it felt so good.

uninstalled and cleaned all intel drivers and dead devices beforehand (use ccleaner, too). beware nasty issues with intel pro set. it can be a buggy deinstallation prompting you for the original msi installer. intel me froze the pc on the first uninstall, worked afterwards.

after that was done, flashed the bios, freshly installed inf, me, lan and storage.

it didnt do much. but it felt so good to have that new bios, new me and the respective drivers. pc runs fine, still, and it may feel a little bit more snappier.

can only recommend, would do again.
