So I just installed windows XP on a computer that had NO OS and at one point I had to enter the name of the user account. I entered the name of the pc owner which was Sascha but got an error saying the account name can not be Sascha, administrator or guest. Getting to the reason why the computer had no OS at all - it was deleted cause user forgot the password to his admin account ,,Sascha" and then failed to reinstall it.
My question is - is the old admin account that was in this computer somehow remained in it preventing me from creating one more account with the same name? net users in cmd doesn't show it but as far as I know userlist in registry editor under special accounts shows all accounts that are hidden and there are more than 1 account. Files have weird names so I can't distinguish which one is which.
