Installed new mobo with windows 10, plugged in old windows 8 harddrive and my Users file is missing+ pictures videos

as title states, my user file is gone along with all the pictures/videos on the desktop of the old harddrive, can anyone help me with this issue? is it restorable

also I installed the new windows on an SSD , old one was an HDD

go to the old hard drive and right click on the "user" folder and select propertys does it show lots of files taking up a lot of space? if so your files are still there just hidden

Go to file manager / explorer, Tools, Folder Options, click on View tab, select "show hidden files, folders, drives"

Now go to user files on old drive, the last one you were using should now be view-able.
