Hello :) I have a problem, I need to set my hard drives to AHCI to do something but when I go to my bios and set it to AHCI from IDE it looks like it only sets it to my first hard drive(startup disk). I need my 2nd hard drive to be in AHCI so it can be detected for what I am doing. I was thinking of disconnecting my first hard drive and only leaving my 2nd hard drive connected (because I won't be needing my 1st hard drive for what I am doing)and then putting my bios to AHCI.

Solution
If you've set your BIOS SATA controller mode to AHCI, then the SATA controller mode for all your HDDs is AHCI. What makes you think your secondary HDD's SATA controller mode has not been set to AHCI?

Oh, I it's because my 2nd hard drive was not showing up, Ill look at the software side, thanks!

Well, before "look(ing) at the software side", could you clarify what you mean when you indicate the HDD is "not showing up"?
It's not listed in the "Disk drives" section of Device Manager?
Is it listed at all in Disk Management?
Looks like it's connected OK on your motherboard?
No problem with your boot drive functioning OK whether or not the HDD is connected in the system upon bootup?
What's the make/model of the HDD?
