Hello,

I would like to ask some help here building a video editing pc.
The main parts in the builds are :

A

-6850k
-X99A II
-32GB 2666 ram
-Quadro K2200

the other one is something like :

B

-7700K
-Z170 Deluxe
-32Gb 2666 ram
-GTX1070(Gigabyte founders edition)

Also a usefull storage arrangement would help a lot cause i'm a bit confussed out there. (To raid or not to raid?)

psu/chassis/cooler/etc. are open at the moment.

Do you think a combo of mobo/cpu/gpu/ram like these(A and B) are going to do the work with ease on programms like premiere/af/resolve ?

Any help is really appreciated.

For the editing system, GPU rendering is much faster and uses less expensive hardware than CPU rendering. Premiere 2015 had a go at multi-threading, removed that option, and then sort of added it back .DaVinci Resolve is solidly GPU rendering.

Without a budget and knowing the country makes specific choices less useful, but if the commitment is definitely for GPU rendering, in general I'd suggest:

Notes:

1. If the budget is a problem: use> ASrock X99 Extreme4 + 32GB+ GTX 1070
2. If budget is not a problem, use 128GB RAM + Titan X +
3.Premiere does not recognize dual GPU's so use the single GPU with the greatest number of CUDA cores
4. For video editing reliability use the native RAM speed= not overclocked
5. In place of a RAID, have a 3.5" drive in an enclosure and run an incremental or differential backup after each editing session.

Cheers,

BambiBoom

ScrewySqrl,

The recommended CPU, the i7-6850K, was released Q2-2016.
