I have a old 2008 dell optiplex 755 mini-tower case with original components.
It has 3.7 GB of RAM
It has a OGM819 motherboard
has a AMD CEDAR with gallium 0.4 on it

What can the optiplex case mini-tower support and if the type of motherboard needed is even worth buying now?

I am wondering if it is even worth trying to upgrade this computer or just work on a new one or buy an off the self computer

Thanks.

I wouldn't suggest throwing anymore money into it, it is pretty dated, and the BTX format makes moving it to a different case next to impossible... Your money is better spent on more recent tech, even if that means buying a newer refurbed system just to get up and running if you can't afford to build with all the latest and greatest stuff...

What kind of budget were you looking at?
