Recently i have been looking closer at the devices on my network, and i have noticed this device called KongFuPanda that i know doesn't belong to anyone within my household(I've asked).

So i blocked their mac address and got them off my network, within 5 minutes i saw them back on my network...

So i decided to change my wireless name as well as password, and unblocked and reblocked the device.

All was well for a few hours of monitoring so i thought i was ok, until i checked a day later and once again saw them connecting.

What can i do to keep my internet secure if they keep somehow finding my network, cracking my password, and ignoring my mac address 24-7 filter?

And.... as i was typing this they appeared on my internet once again, i just deleted the mac filter and re-enabled it about 15 minutes ago to kick them off... how can they bypass the mac filter?

Make sure you have WPS disabled in your router. You can have the best SSID and password possible and this stupid protocol will give it out to anyone who finds a 8 digit number. It takes little time to crack it because of how it is designed and some router manufactures generate the 8 digit key based on the MAC address. Now that people found that out it take a fraction of a second to crack those routers. It is also impossible to change this number so once someone gets it they have pretty much permanent access.

WPS is a feature that is for lazy people and even though router manufacture know it is a huge security exposure they still ship routers with the feature enabled by default just so they can sell boxes to people that do not...

when you block the mac address does it keep changing? they may keep spoofing the mac address, Also, a MiiBox is an Android TV box, im not sure but does mac address blocking work even if something is hardwired to your network?

Also be careful where you are looking. If you see the mac address on a PC then it is actually in your network. If you are seeing it on the router be very sure this is not just the list of mac addresses that attempted to connect. Some routers will list all the mac addresses of devices that attempted but failed to connect. There are lots of devices that attempt to connect to whatever wireless signals they happen to find. My tivo is one of those and it is not possible to prevent it from attempting that crap when it boots.
