I purchased a MSI 8gb R9 390 graphics card. I installed it and the card is displaying but it is not being recognized. When I go to my device manager, all that is listed is "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". I have installed all the drivers, disabled the microsoft adapter, restarted it and nothing seems to work. What am I doing wrong.

So the card is seated properly and power connectors plugged in as well? Did you properly install the latest drivers? I'd highly recommend using DDU, unistall any old drivers in safe mode and install the latest ones available from the amd site.
