Upgrading my ram, need help and advices

I have on my current build an 8gb 2133 mhz kingston, i have one slot left for my RAM, will adding another 8gb stick of the same brand and mhz work? or just mess up the system? should i just buy another pack of 16gb sticks (8+8)?

You should add another 8GB stick of the same frequency and timings to avoid any stability issues. You don't need to get a 16GB kit. Just get another 8GB of same frequency and timing and call it a day (also, the same manufacturer would be better).
