NAS+Chat+Web server in one pc with linux?

i'm new and know nothing about Linux but looking forward to learn about it, and i have an old pc with core2 e4500 ,2GB DDR2 and some spare HDD.

i want to convert it into NAS, Chat, Web, and maybe printer Server in one PC for use in small office network is it possible?

1.NAS with Raid 1 : data-backup for whole small office (work file , image ,product data) via web interface , drag&drop ,access control to seperate each employees folder for thier own use.

2.Chat : chat support within office

3.WebServer : to deplay some web-applications (writted by php) to use within the office. [pretty sure i can use Appserv for this purpose.]

4.Printer Server : this one i'd like it to logs all printer jobs that ordered by employees (logs includes time-stamp ,filename,owner, image of the output if possible like papercut NG does but that isn't opensource / free ) i forgot the name of the one i heard of Krypt.. something (not sure about log print image though)

any suggestion where should i start looking? which linux to look?

Slightly off topic, but:

If you are the tech guy for this business and you are asking here, pay someone to help you, you'll get a better result, you'll learn more and more quickly, you'll be less likely to open security issues, and if you do you've someone to kick, so you are more likely to keep your job.

If you are the owner, as an owner of a small business myself, pay someone to do it, concentrate on running the business and making a profit, leave this stuff to someone that knows. I'd suggest that over the next 6 months it'll take you 4 man weeks in total to get this how you want it, that's 4 weeks of not selling, making etc. 4 weeks of not doing your core business.

If you are a provider of services to a company, then good luck, but you really should know how to do it before selling it.

zentyal.org is a very popular Linux business server with a very active support community. I think it will do most of what you are looking for. Another one to consider is clearos.

if you don't want to go the @13thmonkey route and outsource, then I would recommend a commercial NAS unit from one of the companies that focus on that, QNAP, Synology or Thecus. It is the MUCH simpler do-it-yourself way. I don't know how large your office, but if you have a windows domain, a commercial NAS can be a member of your domain and get user info and security info from the domain server.

i'm aiming at cheapest Synology 2bays for home use (there's only 10 PCs)

I'm going to remove the BA, as you are clearly still interested in another route (which is fine by me), and the BA might put people off. Are you OK with this?

I use a Synology DS214se at home, it's a pretty slick device. I have a Linux box connected to it at home, joomla runs on it, git server and a couple of phones that sync photos to it. It has been easy to use.
