hello there,
i have a problem , i got a new and quite good pc i would say. but i know almost nothing about them, since it's been like 10 years since i've did an upgrade. here are my specs:
cpu 6500 intel
mb h170 pro
video card gtx 1060
16 gb ddr4
i had no dvi dvi cable and i used the one that came with the monitor vga. everything used to run smoothly. but the cable was connected from the monitor to the motherboard and ... i bought a dvi dvi one and connected it to the video card, and suddenly, trying to play league of legends (which ran very well with 80-90 fps i had a problem , only 5 fps.
anyone have any idea what the problem might be?
i don;t even know where to start looking for what is wrong.
any help would be appreciated .
thank you in advance

Sounds like a graphics card driver issue, since you had your monitor hooked up to you motherboard previously, and not your GPU, you were by passing it all together. I bet you never had the graphics drivers installed to begin with.

Go to nvidia.com and download/install the appropriate drivers. You should see much better performance than what you were getting before now that you are using your actual GPU and not the built in graphics from the CPU.
