before i buy anything, i want to know if companies that produce prebuilt pcs modify anything that does not allow you to customise it. I am replacing the motherboard and cpu.

Thats a good thing. Cyberpower uses standard cases and PSUs so yes it is upgradeable, You can replace the board with any MicroATX board and if the case is big enough even ATX.
Absolutely. Depending on what pre-built you have, you could have no good options for that type of upgrade. You are really only saving the cost of a case and power supply which are likely very cheap units to begin with. Components in a pre-built system typically aren't high quality... It would be best to just bite the bullet and buy a new case and quality power supply.

If you have a budget in mind and can list your current components (memory, HD , SSD, GPU), the forum would be happy to get you some proposed builds.

Depends on the brand. Indy brands like Cyberpower and Ibuypower use standard boards.

Dell and now Alienware, HP, and others many times use proprietary boards. Often they are the same size but the mounting holes are different, or they have different PSU connections. Or sometimes other differences that will prevent you from replacing the motherboard in that case, or moving it to another case.

The biggest issue will be your OS. If it's Windows it's most likely an OEM version, which means it's tied to your existing hardware and won't validate with a new motherboard. Sometimes you can contact MS and get them to reactivate it, but usually only when you're replacing a defective board with the same model.

No longer the case with Windows 10, it ties to your Microsoft account and you can transfer it.

Well I have no issues with any other component of my pc. Its just my current cpu is struggling to keep up with the games i play and therefore i want to switch to an intel motherboard and cpu. my budget is only high enough to afford these 2 products as of right now.

Does that still work if you log in exclusively with a local account?

No, you need to connect it with your Microsoft account.
