Mini ITX case

My system specs

CPU-Intel core i7 6700k
Noctua NH-U12S CPU Cooler
MOTHERBOARD-Asus maximus viii Impact
RAM-8GB G.skills Trident z
GPU-Evga nvidia gforce 770
SSD-Samsung 120gb evo
HDD-Seagate Barracuda 2 TB
PSU-Corsair 860 modular
Pioneer BDR-S09XLT 5.25 inch Optical drive

I want to fit the above into a mini ITX case as a Small compact media and gaming pc.. Im thinking of the Lian li-q28 case. Would anyone know if this system would fit in that case and if it is a good case or could anyone recommend a case?

Your Noctua cooler stands 158mm tall. That Lian Li case will only accept coolers that are 100mm tall or less but it does support GPUs up to 290mm. Your cpu cooler is your main problem with that particular case. So you'd need to either use a lower-profile cooler or a different case. If you want a mini ITX case that can take in all your HW and even more if you decide to upgrade:

alternately, you coudl use a smaller cooler:
Noctua NH-12
Reeven Brontes
Cryorg C7
Scythe Shuriken B 3
a Zalman 'flower' cooler

All under 100MM so would fit in that case

Well the ultimate king of ITX cases is the NCASE M1, though it costs a pretty penny. Note its max CPU height is 130mm so your cooler would be to tall.

The NCASE M1 holds a slot loading optical drive but I have a 5.25 inch optical drive so I want a case to house this also plus it doesnt have areset button. Do you actually need a reset button?

Not really. A lot buttons these days do both; single press restart, long hold for hard power on/off.

I can use the CPU cooler I'm using now in that case or can you recommend a noctua cpu cooler to fit in the lian li case. The only downfall to that case is that it is over £100 and only comes with a power button. Lian li do make another model case but it holds a graphics card of only 240 ml or less.
