MAXIMUS VIII HERO lights are on but nothing else

I just built the computer and the only things that are on in the case are the start and reset button, as well as the rog logo. I tried getting into the BIOS, but the monitor said that there was no signal detected. There was no Q-Code displayed when I turned it on.
When I press the CLR_CMOS button all the LEDs in the case flash and the GPU fans spin, but then they stop a second after.
I just tested my psu with the jumper and it worked fine so it has to be a problem with the motherboard.

Try starting the board outside the case, only CPU, CPU fan and single RAM, both 24 and 8 pin connected. Nothing else.

Hard to say. The board has a power on button. Have you tested it? If yes, and still no go, I'd test it though outside the case.

yes i tested the with the jumper and the fan spun, but when its in the motherboard it doesn't spin.

Since rma-ing seems to be the option, if you wish, we can do a last test when board outside the case. Post back when ready and post a picture of the board too, only CPU, CPU fan and single RAM, both 24 and 8 pin connected. Nothing else.

When I turn it on everything in the computer works for 1 second then stops instantly.

As long as the board is inside the case, I can't help you. It looks like a short and you have to rule out all possible errors.

Have you updated bios?Maybe the bios code is outdated?Yeah i know you don't have extra cpu D:
