Hello!
I have seen 2 models of hp elite series. One is Elite 6200, the other is Elite 8200(both with i5-2400). In the specifications given by HP website, it says that the Elite 6200 tower has
1 low-profile PCI
2 low-profile PCIe x1
1 low-profile PCIe x16

On the Elite 8200 specs it says it has
3 full-height PCI
1 full-height PCIe x1
2 full-height PCIe x16

What do these sizes mean? Moreover I want to purchase a GTX 1060 3GB alongwith a Samsung Evo SSD. Will the motherboard of these tower pc's support both of them?

The links to the manufacturer's site are:

If you want to add a GPU...

If you want to add a GPU you're going to need the full height one. They make half height PCIE GPUs, but not many. It refers to the size of the expansion slot.

There is an example. GPUs use the full height of the bracket. This little RAID controller doesn't use all that space, and therefore has options for both Full Height and Half Height PCIE expansion slots.

I don't have the budget to go for the 6 GB version. I'm already spending way above by going for a GTX 1060 instead of GTX 1050 ti. Also I'll be playing at 1440x900p(my max lcd resolution), not 1080p. Is the 3gb version okay in these cases?

I would not buy a 2011 based sandy/ivy HP PC with the intention if running a 1060 & a ssd.

For starters an instant PSU replacement will be necessary , the boards are only sata 2 (cutting fown on ssd speeds).
No guaranteed compatibility with the new range of gpu's.

Then I'll have to go with the hard drive for the time being. I may also opt for the 1050 ti instead of the 1060. That would make a more reasonable system with little to no bottlenecking, am I right?
