Hi!
I'm planning to upgrade my ram to 16 GB, from 8. My current memory sticks are these:

I want to buy another 2x4, but sadly none of the retailers are selling this certain one, in my country at least. Question: I found a similar kit, only it differs a bit. I'm not an expert so I'm asking: will these RAMs work next to my current ones?:

Thank you!

RAM sticks sold together in a kit have been tested by the manufacturer to ensure that they will work together without any problems. RAM from different kits hasn't. Sometimes they will play nicely, other times they won't, even if they both came off the same production line. Given how similar those kits are, it seems fairly likely that they'd work, but the only way to know for sure would be to try it.

If they don't function properly together out of the box, the memory experts here at Tom's may be able to help you adjust the timings and get them working, but no guarantees there either.

Also note that if they do work together, the 1866 memory will operate at the 1600's lower frequency (not really that big a deal, just something to be...

Okay, thank you. I will also contact the retailer if they take it back by the chance it's not working.
