Its my birthday coming up soon so im going to get myself a new gpu. I want some rgb lighting and something that will last me the best part of 3 or so years. I want to buy the card through Amazon preferably and think I've narrowed it down to two cards.

Therefore i need a hand deciding between the two, im only going to be gaming at 1080p so i think both should give a solid 60fps ultra for now, so i was edging towards the 480 as it would likely age better. I am open to suggestions of other cards also, the top budget would be around the price of the gigabyte card. Thanks in advance

I agree.

If you play a lot of older DX11 titles, the 1060 is probably the way to go for 1080p. If you are always picking up the latest thing, the RX480 is seemingly the better choice.
