I have a MSI 780 ti Gaming 3G , was the first batch of 780 ti in the country i bought. have been getting these crash after updating my GPU drivers , tried underclocking a few weeks ago and it kind of worked for a while and today it failed. Tried DDU and all those clean install for drivers , doesn't seem to be the drivers problem. 3DMark runs nicely on full load and clock but crashes on all other games.

Please list full system spec, be specific. Include power supply make and model. This sounds like it could either be the software that runs the card, the card itself, something overheating (maybe CPU), or the power supply could be insufficient.

You've done a clean installation of the drivers, so I'll take that off the list. Now we're down to the card itself, the power supply, or a heat issue.

How long have you had your current power supply?

What are the CPU and GPU temperatures while idle? What about while gaming/benchmarking?

after trying out lots of solution from lots of forums and not willing to upgrade my build yet , i just tried my luck and took my 780ti off the PCIE 3.0 x16 and put on to a PCIE 3.0 x8 that i never used and it seems to be running smoothly.... even got higher points in my Firestrike Extreme benchmark. my benchmark points dropped from 5500 to 4000 on the old PCIE from the first day until now. Got 5070 on the x8 one.

So did moving the graphics card to a different slot just resolve the issue?
