I went to the bios to see if there was an option to turn off the fan from running constantly. I found and turned off the option. The fan runs properly for when I run my video editing software, the fan runs at the speed it ran at before I turned off the settings in bios. It runs at normal temperatures (approx. 40 degree Celsius)
I just want to make sure that the fan being off sometimes will not hurt the computer.
Basically, it runs at the times it needs to and when I am using Microsoft Word, it doesn't run. Will this hurt the computer?
I run an hp 15 series laptop AMD A10-9600P

Solution
The fan is kicking in when needed, and if it was a big problem your system would get errors and/or crash.

Temperatures would need to be much hotter than 40degC to hurt the APU (probably 80degC+ but I don't know the specifics).

It's actually hard to damage a modern computer CPU/GPU/APU with heat as there are several protective features such as fan, frequency throttling, or thermal shutoff diode (if fan breaks).
