Hi, recently I decided to mod GTA with graphics mods. I noticed that there was stuttering so I booted up afterburner and lock to see what was causing the problem. My GPU (1070) was at 99% (I can easily fix that) but my CPU went to 100%. It is currently at 4.5ghz at 60-65°C under heavy load on a single rad aio. If anyone could suggest a good voltage for a nice oc (maybe 4.8ghz) that would be great.
Thanks
P.S. I would try this on my own but I am fairly new to overclocking and am still not confident enough to with voltage changes.

Not that the extra 0.05V will net you much, but it's actually just fine for a Skylake chip to run at 1.4V 24/7. Skylake is more tolerant to higher voltage than the past few generations have been. 1.52V is actually the official maximum, per Intel, but "safe" for every day use seems to be around 1.4V.

Anyway, to answer the original question, it's true that no one can tell you what you're gonna be able to do at what voltage. Literally every single chip is different, so you just have to try it, and see what works. For instance, my 6600K is just fine at 4.7Ghz at 1.36V, but it wants close...

Not high enough to kill it quickly, but also not really worth it for the extra 100MHz.
