Hello,

I am trying to choose a AiO Liquid cooler, just to one test out liquid cooling first as I may go to custom in the future but budget wise it isnt the option atm. I am trying to find the best cooler for the CPU which is the i7-6800K Broadwell-E chip, and also I am getting the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Tempered Glass edition for my Case. I want to put the AiO cooler on the top of the case which supports, according to Phanteks on the top, 120mm Radiator up to 360, and 140mm Radiator up to 420.

The ones I am deciding on atm are the NZXT Kraken X62 280mm, its the one I wanted to go with however atm, its sold out and have to wait for it to be in stock sometime to get it. The next one I thought to go with was the X52 Kraken which is only a 40mm difference at 240mm. I originally planned for the X61 but then realized the newer model was out. But was thinking on going with the 240mm X52 over the X62 at 280mm since it isnt much of a difference.

So I am alos debating between these:

However if there are other recommendations I would love to hear it.

I'd go for expandable All In One such as Fractal Design Kelvin 28, Swiftech H220, and EK XLC Predator 280. Those threes are pricier than AIO such as Corsair H115i or Kraken X62 because they offer upgrade and replacement options including pump, rad, and tube. In term of performance I'm confidence Swiftech and EK product slightly above FD, Corsair and NZXT base on stronger pump to compare with. Later you can add fans (push-pull radiator).
@ 60% PWM any DC type pumps are fairly quiet, My XLC 360 began to made noise @ 90% PWM
I'm not an expert on liquid coolers. I avoid them because:

1) pump noise can be an issue (even if fairly quiet, some find it annoying)
2) Most have about a five-year life (the liquid permeates the tubes)
3) Failures might be rare, but liquid loss can be pretty messy
4) Some of the liquid cooler fans are far NOISIER than they need to be (even with fan control) so choose carefully

I have been reading about THIS cooler and it seems pretty good:
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9bFPxr/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk019

It will be silent in idle mode, and pretty quiet under load. (setup the motherboard fan control properly... such as 20% fan speed in idle and ramp up with temperature)

I prefer a really good air cooler.

Here's a review for it: https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/beQuiet/Dark_Rock_Pro3/9.html

(Note the MEMORY compatibility.. must lookup the height and choose accordingly)

I like Noctua but it's not ideal for side Windows if you don't like the color. This Be Quiet has a pleasing top to it. It's not perfect as the article says. It is however the best choice I've found in terms of cooling, noise, and aesthetics.

It depends if you want to OC Hydros. I personally have the Corsair H115i and very happy with it. It's quiet with a slight hum but the fans are a little noisy which I don't mind. When you OC to the MAX, its reassuring to here that everything is operational. Nice to be able to reduce fan speed for the quiet hours.
I have also installed the Kraken X62 which are also very good with adjustable fan control.

If you have no intentions of Overclocking then save your money and use an air cooler. Many to choose from and cheap. You shouldn't have to pay more than $30 for a decent Air Cooler.

I have heard good and some bad things about corsair, although might just be due to bad luck with the product. But I definitely will be overclocking, not right away but eventually I will be doing mild overclocks and then into higher overclocking afterwards. Kraken i have seen great things, the software of course is relatively new so i have seen most complain about issues with that but its a given with new software ususally.
