Solution
Yes it's compatible and no you do not need to update the BIOS. I recommend the GTX1050 instead though. It should be about the same price as the 750ti.

your power supply is too low. requirement for your spec is between 500-550watts for the safe precaution of voltage dropping on the component material build. Compatible motherboard for your spec of GPU is Gigabyte 990FX-A UD3 or UD5

What is BIOS? BIOS is Basic Input and Output System. This is mean the coding installed to make the motherboard to perform the task to operate normally. Updating bios is not like updating software. You should not update bios unless the manufacturer of the motherboard said it is critical download and necessary.

Updating the bios is not important and optional. Before update, you must determine what version of your motherboard. You can update BIOS using Q-Flash or BIOS utilities. I need to remind you that updating bios flashing is potentially risky. If you do not encounter problems using the current version of BIOS, It is recommended that you not flash the BIOS. To flash the BIOS do it with caution. Inadequate BIOS flashing may result in system malfunction.

Please read your manual instruction of motherboard after purchased that comes out from the box. If anything happen to your motherboard after updating, please do not blame me for the incorrect info or misleading. I already told you the consequences. Update BIOS is like you programming the motherboard to working as like the coding instruction.

If I were you, I will not update my BIOS because it comes from the manufacturer itself. It is hard to believe that you received unworking well motherboard after they made QC before distribution.

I am working as engineer electric and got 1000+ hours certificate programming the PIC and most PIC that I programmed was comes from the computer circuit itself. If you want to update your BIOS, it is up to your determination. If you know what you are doing and got the step taken and got the idea on how to troubleshooting when the update BIOS failed, it is up to go.
