Windows XP or 2000 for Older Games?

Agreed, though I take exception with the assessment of Windows 2000. Windows *ME* was a complete mess, 2000 was terrific (IMO).
With that said, for older gaming purposes, XP 32 bit would be a better choice.

I just got a 2005 HP with a P4 3.0 HT and 3gb ram for retro gaming and i'm using Win2k and here is why:
Back in the day when both of then were supported, WinXP was the one to use for home and gaming, since MS focus was on XP and then 2k.
Nowdays both are unsupported and Win2K SP4 has the edge over Win XP S4. Why? Because it's more stable, it uses less resources which gives more fps in Older games, also DOS games do WORK BETTER. Some people will say that most Dos Games don't work in Win2k, this is true but ONLY FOR stock Win2k, Win2k SP4 has better support for DOS apps than XP.
