Hey Guys,

I am pretty new to overclocking. I have a new machine.

- MSI z170a Gaming Carbon
- i5-6600K
- Cooler Master TX3 EVO
- Kingston 2400MHz ddr4 ram
- SSD
- Corsair 400c with 2 fans front and 1 in the back
*Video card not yet bought* Will get the GTX1060

At this moment is have an overclock of 4.4 @ 1.250v with stress temps of arround 60-65C stable

I am wondering if I overclock to lets say 4.6 @ 1.3v what the performance gain will be. Is it worth it?

I am not video rendering and editing with my machine. I usually game and program.

Thanks allready!!

While you may pick up a little more performance going to 4.6, it's not going to be a huge difference. I suspect using 1.3v with that cooler would cause your temps to exceed 70C during stress testing, so I would be content at 4.4 ghz.
