Hi, I have an issue with slow launch of Google Chrome on a SanDisk 410Z 480GB ssd, and an i3-6100 processor on Windows 10. After installing Google Chrome, it still takes a few seconds of blank white screen to launch.. Is the issue my processor? Or is there a way to tweak my ssd or chrome to launch faster? Thanks.

Just 3 add-ons; Adblock, Data Saver and national Estonian ID-Card Smart Card reader. All of them are much needed ;)

I have updated the SATA controller driver and GPU Nvidia driver only.

i use ublock origin, adblock lets ads through if the ad makers pay adblock a fee. Seems to defeat purpose to me.

Does it happen on other browsers? edge probably not as its built into windows and has an advantage. Try Firefox since Opera uses same engine as Chrome. Just curious if its Chrome or drivers

Edge is much faster on my PC, but I prefer chrome. Adblock lets me add a custom filter for CPU usage on Facebook. I could try install Opera and see if it launches faster since I'm not into Firefox.

I'm using an AsRock H110M-DGS motherboard. What drivers do you suggest me to update?

EDIT: Opera opens just as fast as chrome.. Still takes some time to load

Updated the motherboard drivers, still slow. Haven't tried the SSD Dashboard since it's a bloaty 100MB app. Is there another way to upgrade the firmware for my SSD?

has it always been slow or only recently? Could run this and see if you getting speed you paying for: http://www.speedtest.net/

ill restart and see how fast mine is with just 1 tab loading (though i have more add ones)

edit about 2 seconds... so you have latest drivers for motherboard, firmware for ssd unlikely to make browser load faster

It's pretty fast. 20 Mbps. 4G speeds. I just updated my SSD firmware to see if it's better now. Chrome has been slow from the start. Scrolling facebook takes a lot of resources and seems to be slower than Edge, Opens slower than Edge... 25Mbps down, 23Mbps up.

Got the latest drivers for 1050Ti, 376,33.. Will try to disable HW acceleration

Edit: Disabling HW acceleration worked! Thanks!

Basically I just bought an ssd to run chrome.. It's still slow.. But a little faster than a mechanical drive.

EDIT: but thanks for the upgrading firmware tip, really useful

it seems that should do it, found 2nd thread and it was the answer there as well.

It means the graphical rendering is done on dedicated hardware (your GPU / graphics card) rather than your CPU. Hardware acceleration generally produces more fluid animation. make sure that the browser view is set to 100%

I should turn it off, hardly ever have browser in full screen

SSD will not slow your performance as it not like HD. SSD will work faster as the dont have rotor to operate R&W.

The problem is when you not installed the correct bit chrome to the windows bit and using the registry cleaner such as CCLEANER or others. It is not the faulty of SSD. Clean the computer with malware. Malware tends to slow your computer.

I'm using WiseCare 365 to clean reg and speed up the PC. It's a brand new install, so malware shouldn't be a problem. Unchecking "Enable hardware rendering" from Chrome settings fixed it, thoguh! WiseCare is much better than CCleaner.
