[Help] No improvements in FPS with GTX 1050(Non-Ti).

Hi. I am getting no improvements on my games specifically Dota 2 and CS:GO with this newly bought GPU. I used to run everything with A6-7400k's integrated graphics. Please help!

My resolution is 1600x900(max) and currently using 1280x800. I have 4GBs of ram and 1TB WD Blue if these matters.

You unplugged your monitor from the motherboard and plugged it into your new GPU correct?

I guess, what makes you think it hasn't given you any improvement? Your settings are still so low. Turn them up - should play just fine.

That 1050 is like 10 times faster than the integrated R5.

Cause I am still having the same FPS with the R5, I was expecting to have 60-100 fps with this card. Btw, I've tried turning them up and lowered it back again. Here are the results : HERE.

I know GPU meter isn't always accurate, but it's showing 20.48 MB of VRAM in use with Dota in your taskbar. Are you absolutely, positively certain your monitor is plugged into the 1050?

Yes. Though I use a VGA cable with HDMI to VGA(or vice versa) adapter. Does that affect its performance?

So wait while don't you use the max resolution with Max setting and see what your FPS are ? If its not playable then slow start turning the setting but leaving the resolution at max.

That is a 3,8Ghz dual core from amd,this is equivalent to a ~2Ghz intel dual core,so don't expect any FPS improvement.
You can try using vulkan for dota2 which will give you some improvement due to using less cpu,other then that you will have to get a better cpu because even overclocking will not improve your situation by enough.

Btw here's what I did :

1. Used DDU to uninstall AMD drivers - Shutdown
2. Mounted GPU then plugged VGA cable with HDMI to VGA(or vice versa) adapter into GPU's slot.
3. Downloaded Palit GTX 1050 driver and installed then Restart PC.

Install MSI Afterburner, enable onscreen display of CPU and GPU usage. Play your games with it running, while using the normal settings and resolution you game at. Is either usage at or near 100%? Let us know.

Settings used in-game are, Animate Portrait and 100% Render quality at 1600x900. Everything else is set to low and turned off.

Both cpu cores are running at 100% there is no possibility to get higher FPS...
(other then overclocking which will not help a lot)

Yes there will be no problem for your GPU it will just run below it's capabilities it will not break or anything.
