Hi all,

I just moved to Ireland. I brought my gaming desktop, as well as various adapters and a power strip. One of my adapters is designed to convert wattage to prevent a surge, as is my power strip. Unfortunately, the strip blew the moment it was connected (fortuitously I hadn't connected it to my computer). Is there anything that can be done to adapt my computer to the different socket configuration and wattage demands?

Solution
From what I see that comes with an EVGA 600B power supply. That is Active PFC and can handle a 220v input, just plug it in and go. Your monitors will be a different story, I can't help you much there.
I don't know much about your power strips, but as far as the computer itself if it was made anytime in the last few years should have a PFC power supply, which among other things can handle any input voltage. If it has a switch on the back for 115v/220v you would use that (Passive-PFC). Otherwise if it is Active PFC it doesn't need a switch and will automatically correct the power as necessary.

Hi timeconsumer!

I know very little about computing. My desktop is a Velocity Microsoft Z55. There's a power switch next to the plug socket, but it doesn't specify any sort of voltage
