There is this older Samsung laptop (an NP530U4B-A01US). I am wondering if it is worth the price of an SSD ($100 for a 250 GB) to replace the old hard drive with an SSD? And if so is the 850 EVO the way to go for this laptop (I have searched everywhere but have not found anything saying the 850 is compatible but I assume it is). The OS is Win 8.1 64 bit and it has 4 GB ram. It is not used for gaming -- just office and Photoshop stuff.

Thank you!

Hi, I have a 250GB 850EVO in my NP530U3C laptop.
In your case, any 2.5 inch SSD will be compatible. The 850 EVO does have great performance for its price.

Replacing HDD to SSD in my opinion is always worth. It changes radically the way that you feel the response of the PC.
