Hi everyone, I've had a 670 in my computer for a few years now, but recently I tried to play some new games (both dark souls 3 and XCOM 2) and my GPU is quickly jumping from 50 degrees to over 100 at which point I guess Nvidia's tech shuts them down to prevent damage. I am using MSIa fterburner to check the temp and fan speed. The fan is working, I can hear and see it jumping to max as well.

I am not sure how new this issue is because I haven't really played anything with tough graphics in a few months. I tried blowing out and wiping out some dust, and switching which slot I had the card attached to, both of which did nothing.

Is there anything I can do to figure out if this is a fixable issue or if It is just dead?

Thank you so much
