Hey guys, I've recently purchased some new parts for a new gaming PC as my old one has finally packed in.
After much stress I've managed to get everything connected (I'm assuming right) and have power. If I use the typical power switch the PC boots up, fans and LEDs kick in. The monitor however flickers between digital and analogue (DVI) and eventually the screen goes off and about 10 seconds later the PC shuts off and tries once more.
If I press the test button and load into the bios and select either my SSD or HDD (only is plugged in at this stage and I've installed windows to both as I thought there was a separate issue with the SSD) the PC loads up. I've downloaded my drivers, and updated my graphics card (note I am using a compatible 760 from my old build and this is with high end 2016 equipment) however when I try to update windows or a driver my PC searches for eternity.
Can someone please point me in the right direction (in simple terms) or give me some troubleshooting as to how I can boot my PC normally rather than through the test button.
My new build is as follows:
Asus Rampage V Edition 10 Intel X99 (Socket 2011) DDR4 EATX Motherboard
Intel i7-5820K 3.30GHz (Haswell-E) Socket LGA2011-V3 Processor - Retail (BX80648I75820K)
Gainward GTX 760 Phantom
Corsair HX1000i Platinum
Seagate BarraCuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache HDD - OEM (ST2000DM006)
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit - Black (CMK32GX4M4A2400C16)
Samsung Evoi 850 SSD
Noctua NH-D15 Dual Radiator Quiet CPU Cooler with two NH-A15 Fans
NZXT Phantom Enthusiast
Thanks!
